Questions about this tool
When is the next India Young Professionals ballot?
The Home Office runs two ballots a year, in February and July, each open for about 48 hours. The dates are published on gov.uk shortly before. This page shows the next announced window and a countdown; when none is announced it says so.
Does entering the ballot cost anything?
No. Entry is free and takes a passport scan, name, date of birth, phone and email. If selected you pay the £340 visa fee and the health surcharge within 90 days of the invitation.
Can I enter at 17 or at 30?
You must be 18 to 30 on the date you apply for the visa, not the date you enter the ballot. Someone who is 30 at the ballot but 31 when the invitation arrives will be refused.
I have a diploma, not a degree. Am I eligible?
No. The scheme requires a bachelor's degree or higher (RQF level 6 or above). Three-year diplomas and professional certificates do not qualify.
