## Steps
1. **Submit and pay on gov.uk first** The VFS booking site opens only after the visa fee and health surcharge are paid. Keep the GWF reference number; the centre uses it to find your file.
2. **Choose Jalandhar or compare with Chandigarh** If Jalandhar shows no free slot in your window, check Chandigarh and Delhi. Many Doaba applicants drive 2 hours to Chandigarh rather than pay for a prime-time slot in Jalandhar.
